original oil painting on linen

by artist Tory Burke
This piece captures a moment so close to my heart—a painting of my daughter indulging in her absolute favourite pastime, sunbaking. While it’s a personal snapshot for me, it really captures the essence of any young Aussie girl soaking up the summer. There is something so peaceful about the quiet stillness of a lazy afternoon spent catching the warmth. Swept up in the golden light and relaxed energy, it is a nostalgic nod to youth, rest, and those long, slow coastal days we all wish could last forever.
