Beautiful Birds

Inspired by my love of Australian birds and their quirky personalities, this collection includes oil paintings on linen alongside mixed media works incorporating found Australian vintage ceramics. In the mixed media pieces, I hand-shape ceramics into wings and feathers, using their patterns and curves to bring texture, depth and a three-dimensional quality to each bird.
